Amber Act of Succession

His Majesty, King Bleys of Amber, Lord of Avernus, Emperor of the Golden Circle has issued a series of decrees:

I. The ACT OF SUCCESSION

Whereas by the happy union of AMBER and THE GOLDEN CIRCLE EMPIRE under one Crown, it is become necessary to make divers alterations in relation to an Act passed in the Court of Amber, in the eighth year of the reign of His present Majesty, whom the Unicorn long preserve, intituled, An Act for the better security of His Majesty’s person and government, and of the Succession to the Crown of Amber in the Oberonic-Helgram line, and to extend the provisions of the said Act throughout the whole  Kingdom, for the better security of our most gracious sovereign’s person and government, and of the Succession to the Crown of Amber in the Oberonic-Helgram Line, as it is now by the laws and statutes of this realm settled, limited, and appointed;

Be it therefore enacted by the King’s most excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and content of the Charter, in this present Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, that if any person or persons shall maliciously, advisedly, and directly, by writing or in print, maintain and affirm, that our Sovereign Lord the King of these realms that now is, is not the lawful and rightful King of these realms, or that the pretended Prince of Amber, who now styles himself King of Amber, or Emperor of the Golden Circle, by the name of Random, has any right or title to the Crown of these realms, or that any other person or persons has or have any right or title to the same, otherwise than according to an Act of the King made in Amber in the first year of his reign of ever blessed and glorious memory, intituled, An Act declaring the rights and liberties of the subject, and settling the Succession of the Crown, and one other Act made in Amber about the descent, limitations, inheritance, and government thereof; every such Amber or Golden Circle person or persons who refuses, in Amber or the Golden Circle, to pledge loyalty shall be guilty of High Treason, and being thereof lawfully convicted, shall be adjudged traitors, and shall suffer pains of death, and all losses and forfeitures as in cases of High Treason.

II. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that if any person or persons shall maliciously and directly, by preaching, teaching, or advised speaking, declare, maintain, and affirm, that our Sovereign Lord the King Bleys that now is, is not the lawful or rightful King of this realm, or that the pretended Random or any other so called claimant , who now stiles himself King of Amber or Emperor of the Black Zone, has any right or title to the Crown of these realms, or that any other person or persons has or have any right or title to the same, otherwise than according to an Act of Parliament made in Amber on the first year of the second reign of his said late Majesty King Oberon, intituled, and the descent, limitation, inheritance, and government thereof; ever such person or persons shall incur the danger and penalty of praemunire mentioned in the statute of praemunire made in Amber in the sixteenth year of the reign of King Oberon in the first reign of his Kingship of Cymnea. It is noted that Oberon has not used Parliament since the Divorce of Queen Cymnea.

III. Provided always, and be it enacted by the authority aforesaid, that no person shall be prosecuted by virtue of this Act for any words spoken, unless the information of such words be given upon oath to one or more justice or justices of the peace within three days after such words spoken, and the prosecution of such offence be within three months after such information; and that no person shall be convicted by virtue of this Act, for any such words spoken, but by the oaths of two credible witnesses.

IV. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the Privy Council of His Majesty, his heirs or successors for the Kingdom of Amber, shall not be determined or dissolved by the death or demise of His Majesty, his heirs or successors; but such Privy Council shall continue and Act as such by the space of six months next after such demise, unless sooner determined by the next successor to whom the Imperial Crown of this realm is limited and appointed to go, remain, and descend; nor shall the office or place of Lord Chancellor or Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of Amber, or of Lord High Treasurer of Amber, Lord President of the Council for Amber, Lord Privy Seal of Amber, Lord High Admiral of Amber of any of the great officers of the King or Queens household for the time being, nor shall any office, place, or employment, civil or military, within the Kingdom of Amber and the Empire of the Golden Circle, the Great Officers of the household, and every other person and persons in any of the offices, places, and employments aforesaid, shall continue in their respective offices, places, and employments, for the space of six months next after such death or demise, unless sooner removed and discharged by the next in succession as aforesaid

V. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the Great Seal of Amber, the Privy Seal, Privy Signet, and all other public seals in being, at the time of the demise or His Majesty, his heirs or successors, shall continue and be made use of as the respective seals of the successor, until such successor shall give order to the contrary.

Vi: That John, legitimate son of Bleys and Swayvanna be named as full, legal heir of King Bleys and to be followed by his issue according to primogeniture;

and, that any son of John must be at least 95% of High Blood, as recognized by the Alamanach di Swayville. If the line of Prince John becomes extinct, that it reverts to the Line of the late Gaius, son of Bleys; followed by the Line of Prince Ian son of Bleys, excluding any member of Prince Ian’s House if they are Grand Duke of Helgramways.

VII. That John of Amber be recognized as Crown Prince of Amber and of the Golden Circle.
