Recently, Kalyn, alongside his father, took a bold step to elevate his life’s mission by presenting a petition before King Swayville of Thelbane, who is also the Emperor of the Abyss Empire. Their proposal sought to have Kalyn appointed as Don, the Headmaster of the esteemed Free University and Research Rock located in the Tamaril Free State, part of the broader Dominion of the Abyss Empire.
In response to this initiative, Emperor Swayville made a significant proclamation affirming his rightful position as the divinely anointed ruler, having been crowned and enthroned through the revered Justinic rites. He is the direct descendant of a noble lineage, being the eldest son of Cornelius the Younger, the eldest son of Cornelius the Elder, and so forth, tracing back to Valentinian the Conqueror, Theodosius the Great, and ultimately, Justin the Stern.
Demonstrating his support for Kalyn’s aspirations, Swayville granted a provisional one-year Charter for the establishment of the Free University, with the promise of a permanent Charter to follow, all under the esteemed Seal of the Abyss Empire. This charter grants the institution autonomy and local jurisdiction, enabling it to operate as both an Imperial Charter Institution and an Imperial Free City while ensuring non-lethal governance.
In a gesture of honour, Swayville officially named Kalyn of House Suhuy (Barriman) as the Grand Don, who will be accountable to a Board of Governors that Swayville himself will appoint. This board includes notable figures such as Prince Suhuy, serving as Chairman; Grand Duchesses Dara and Minobee; Grand Duke Bleys, represented by the dignified Princess Royal Fiona of House Helgram; Prince Dworkin Barriman of Dworkinways; and the influential Dukes Rexfords and Celestine.
